Due to the wind forecast we decided to reverse the walk to have the strong wind on our backs when at the highest point on the walk. We lunched in Howwood railway station which provided shelter from the cold wind. The worst of the wind only presented a problem when crossing the field below the folly . The final part of the walk back to Lochwinnoch was relatively sheltered due to the path being along an old railway with trees and sometime rocks breaking up the wind . The Brown Bull pub provided a pleasant venue for a chat and some FRT.
