New arrangements for Wed 13th Dec

Meet in the car park beside Portencross Castle at 10.00 a.m. This should shorten the walk as the forecast is wet and windy again. FRT venue can be agreed upon during the walk.

Kilmarnock linear 6 December

Given the poor weather forecast (not for the first time on a Wednesday this year) it was decided to hold an AGM (Annual Gastronomic Meeting) in Wetherspoon’s in Kilmarnock. Any walking was of a linear nature i.e. to the bar and back, and despite the special (14oz steak) being ‘aff’, or so they said, we had a very convivial lunch washed down with reasonably priced beers, and wine for you know who.

The banter was lively and the time passed quickly. The fitbits suggested between three and five pints with the event taking two and a half hours.
Not a bad way to spend a wet Wednesday!

Arrangements for Wed 20th Dec

Meet in the Glasgow Concert Hall at 10.00 a.m. for coffee. Use the underground to cross the city to Byers Road and  the Oran Mor for around about 11.00 a.m. After the Xmas panto return to Buchanan St bus station for the return to Kilmarnock. The Jewel in the Crown has been booked for 3.30 p.m. for  17 persons. Anyone who can't make the curry please let me know a.s.a.p. Walkers contact handsome Davy for arrangements.

Meet in Largs around 10.00a.m. Board a bus to Seamill ( bring bus passes) and then walk back along the coast. ( weather permitting)  FRT will be taken in the Largs Wetherspoons.

Wed 6th alteration

Having consulted Rex( the Oracle) we decided that the forecast was so poor ,raining all day with 20 mph winds ,that the best plan was to skip walking along the coast from Dunure.
Therefore meet at Wetherspoons in Kilmarnock around 12.30p.m. for lunch and a couple of pints.
